This Year’s Cap2Cap Race Will Use Open-Start Format

As many as 1,500 riders are expected to participate in this year’s 17th annual Capital to Capital race between Williamsburg and Richmond on the Virginia Capital Trail May 6 & 7.

Presented by Dominion Energy the Cap2Cap race will use an Open-Start format this year. On the day of your ride, you can start and finish anywhere on the 52-mile Virginia Capital Trail by choosing your ride: Cap Trail Century Ride (100 miles), Virginia Credit Union Half Century Ride (50 miles), Cap Trail Quarter Century Ride (25 miles), Sentara Family Fun Ride (7 miles), Cap2Cap 2 Day Challenge, and Virtual Ride.

Course support will be active between 8 AM and 4 PM each day on the Trail.

All participants will be able to enjoy a Post-Ride Party at Chickahominy Riverfront Park in Williamsburg on Friday, or at Dorey Park on Saturday in Henrico. If you are interested in riding in the Cap2Cap, go to the Virginia Capital Trail website, www.virginiacapitaltrail.org, for more information and registration details.
