Dewey Decibel Concert Series Returns to Regional Library

The Dewey Decibel Concert Series returns to Williamsburg Regional Library Theatre stage with an eclectic mix of popular jazz, folk, bluegrass, country, and classical music acts. All shows take place at the Williamsburg Library Theatre, and this year’s schedule includes a mixture of free and ticketed performances.

The next performance is April 5 when Angela Easterling and her music partner Brandon Turner take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Easterling is known for her rootsy, refreshing, homespun tunes. Her most recent release, “Common Law Wife” went all the way to the top of the Roots Music Report Americana Country Airplay Chart.

Tickets for this concert are $5 (Friends of WRL $4).

The Peninsula Concert Band will perform April 10 with a variety of music including march, classic, and popular sounds. The band is made up of volunteers and has been performing in the Tidewater area for 72 years. Williamsburg’s own big band presents a “Jazz Legends Showcase.”

Admission is free for the performances on April 10 and 25, but donations are accepted. For more information, call 757-741-3370. The library is located at 515 Scotland Street in Williamsburg.
